DINNER-AND-A-MOVIE DONE RIGHT!

Movie experience has definitely changed since the time I was a teenager. The time of semi-comfortable chairs and standard theater concessions fare have been replaced by a high-end movie-going experience filled with the 3D and the 4D, latest audiovisual technology, Dolby Atmos sound system and 4k projection systems, oversized luxurious chairs with a LED light, a USB outlets, a storage compartments to keep the belongings safely stowed away and a service staff call button to place orders – for a variety of libations, from beer to signature cocktails; and to even enjoy a gourmet meal all without leaving the comfort of your seat. If you are wondering where you could experience all of it and more – then I recommend that you stop by at one of the newer attractions at the Old Orchard Mall – CMX CinéBistro.

The CMX CineBistro provided me with an opportunity to experience a luxury evening out to the theater where the attendees had an opportunity to sample some of its signature cocktails and new menu additions, featuring: Chicken & Churros, Pan Seared Salmon, *Grilled Meatloaf Marsala, *NY Strip Steak, Chocolate Donut Bread Pudding, Buffalo Cauliflower Wings, Arugula Quinoa and Crispy Cod Tacos. Likewise, I was invited to comeback at a later day to experience one of their six state-of-the-art viewing rooms that can accommodate up to 405 movie-goers and boasting a theater space of 40, 870 sq. feet.

It would be remiss not to mention that this 21 and over venue, in addition to their state-of-the-art viewing rooms features the trendy fully stocked Stone Sports Bar and an upscale lounge. Whether you are looking for a delicious entrée made from scratch by Chef Matt Woodward and a signature cocktail or a dinner and a movie experience – the CMX CinéBistro will make your night out a memorable affair.

Those seeking an upscale dine-in theater experience closer to home will be pleased to learn that according to Jose Leonardo Marti, CEO of CMX Cinemas, a “luxury dine-in theater experience, with a wholly updated menu and the newest audio-visual technology….” will be “expanding [their] footprint in the Chicago area and on a national scale.”
