Under the huge and swirling tent resides a modern-day spectacle unlike anything you have seen. “Aquatic Spectacular,” as it is referred to, is a circus featuring a 35,000 gallons water stage where the fountains dance while the artists from all over the world perform gravity-defying feats.

The circus, inspired by the various European-style productions, incorporates technical design, audio and visual design, and costumes, making it a complete visual feast. It is where the audiences experience an array of unique aerial acts, hand balancing, contortionists, hula-hoops, acrobatic poles, high-energy juggling, and a curtain of rain, to name a few. One of the memorable ones is Verticali Act, performed with an artist singing Andrea Bocelli song while suspended in the mid-air upside down. And what circus would be complete without some slapstick comedy? The number by Musical Clowns will surely get a laugh out of you. Also, the Laserman Act has become a crowd-favorite display of optical illusion and hypnotism. The young attendees seemed to stare in awe at the sight of the Mermaid emerging from her shell and swimming through the fountains. The show is colorful and full of wonders – an unforgettable experience for the entire family.

The founder Manuel Rebecchi, born in Milan, Italy, has circus run through his blood. He is a nephew of Moira Orfei, a legendary owner of Italy’s famed circus. He had a dream to create a circus that would be innovative, fresh, and modern. On August 2012 his dream was realized and modern Cirque Italia was born. Manuel strives to make a circus outing reasonable priced, thus allowing more families an opportunity to enjoy the show. He once remarked, “I want to see people have fun, enjoy the show, and go out with a smile and the desire to come back!” Indeed it seems like every one of the shows accomplishes just that.
