INTERNATIONAL ART EXHIBIT CALLS FOR ENTRIES CELEBRATING CULTURAL DIVERSITY AND GRATITUDE

Second Annual “I Am Thankful For…” Exhibition Featured at Plano Market Square Mall

The Eurasian Association of DFW and the Dallas Telegraph call for communities to unite for the international art exhibit “I Am Thankful for…” 2013! Submissions are now being accepted for a showcase set for November 23-30 at Plano Market Square Mall, located at 1717 E Spring Creek Pkwy., Plano, TX.

We all have something to be thankful for… and a picture speaks louder than a thousand words! What better way to express your thankfulness than with a picture?

The second annual «I am Thankful for…» art exhibit is a wonderful opportunity for children, young adults and families from all cultures to create art depicting themes of gratitude and thankfulness. Through the expression of this universal language, our communities will be drawn together as one.

Five categories will be presented at the exhibition: children 5-7 years old, children 8-12 years old, children 13-17 years old, adults and families. Art submissions will be accepted until November 15th. A selection committee will choose art pieces to be displayed at the week-long showcase. All guests will be invited to vote for their favorite artwork at the Opening Ceremony on November 23rd at 3pm at Plano Market Square Mall. Winners will be announced at the Closing Ceremony on November 30th at 6pm. Certificates and prizes will be awarded to winners in each category.

Sponsored by Russian4Children, Sunshine International Learning Center, Plano Police Association, Coyote Legal, Allies in Youth Development, the Arts4Kids Foundation and the Bowling Alley in Plano. Eurasian Association of DFW and the Dallas Telegraph welcome all to join in this celebration of cultural diversity and gratitude!

The Eurasian Association of DFW promotes and builds appreciation of the Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian cultures in the DFW area though cultural events and education.
