WHEELING, Ill. (September 16, 2013) — A charitable musical and poetry presentation was recently performed by Liliya Dikin co‐founder of Golden Reviews, an online forum for senior living and care providers, to an audience at Illinois’s largest adult daycare center, Forever Young. Dikin entertained scores of Eastern European seniors with her musical and vocal talents and was accompanied by accomplished poet Gary Light’s lyrical composition, which has been published in Russia, Ukraine, and the United States. The pair also presented a new book titled “Trajectories” at the performance, followed by a brief introduction to newly launched Golden Reviews.
Dikin shared how her personal experience trying to find a senior care for her own mother led her to discover the surprising lack of reliable information about senior living communities online. By co—‐founding Golden Reviews and reaching out to older adults like those at Forever Young, she hopes to accumulate insight and reviews from consumers that can in turn help others make more informed decisions in the future. Seniors at the event were encouraged to “rate it forward” and join the effort in spreading the word and bringing transparency to senior care by submitting a review of their community.
As the largest adult daycare center in Illinois, Forever Young receives over 800 visitors at its centers in Lincolnwood and Wheeling, where sentiment is high. “Forever Young is our home,” says Martha Litas, owner and founder of Forever Young. “Here we meet new friends, enjoy the music, discuss the current world situation, learn English and try not to forget our own mother language. Life is beautiful with Forever Young, no matter how old we are at 62 or 100!”
The performance was hosted at Forever Young’s Wheeling center, located at 818 Chaddick Drive. Reviews for Golden Reviews can be submitted at http://www.goldenreviews.com/submit/review.
