On July 6, in Chicago, IL.,Ascene Chicago and Korean owned Art Gallery Prak-Sis hosted a fundraiser to support an upcoming Taste of Korea Festival on August 5-6. The event was held at the Clarity consulting group in Chicago. Over 60 guests enjoyed Korean hors d’oeuvres and Soju cocktails. Had an opportunity to bid on fine art pieces from partner gallery and hear an opera singer JinUK Lee accompanied by a pianist, Mrs. Kim. Throughout the night Dj Virgil7 spun crowd favorites.
The Korean Festival will take place at the Old Orchard Mall, Skokie, and is a new and free event to enable attendees to experience what Korea is all about. The organizers promise an engaging two-day festival with a wonderful entertainment and tasty authentic food for the whole family. More information available via: ascenechicago.com
One of the festival organizers and founder of Ascene Chicago, Lily Kim remarked that “the festival is a unique opportunity to showcase a Korean culture to other ethnic groups and bring together Chicago’s multi-ethnic crowd.”
I would like to wish the event organizers a successful festival that promises to be a real treat for the attendees.
